Christians in Christiania

“The freetown of Christiania is truly unique and compares to nothing else in Copenhagen – or the rest of the world.”

The freetown, Christiania, is a city within the city. It’s a small society within the society. It’s a freetown. And it is one of a kind.

Cars are not allowed in this town. Dogs are running wild and are playing in the streets. Cannabis is openly being sold on the spectacular ‘Pusher street’, where no photos are allowed to be taken. This is a freetown. And a free one of its kind.

Various people are to be found in this freetown. You will find the hardcore pusher, the young couple, the ultimate hippie, the group of friends, even the nuclear family is here to be found.
The architecture within this freetown is spectacular. During a walk around the area homemade houses and buildings are easily spotted. In fact is Christiania placed in the center of the city of Copenhagen, around a big lake, providing the best spot for a nice relax during a hot summer day.

The freetown Christiania is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Denmark, attracting around a million visitors every year. Tourists are particularly interested in this part of Copenhagen due to the uniqueness of this area.
